Our Story
As a piano tuner for 35 years, I tend to think of pianos as living, breathing instruments. It hurts my heart to see beautifully crafted, hand-built antique pianos — many of them truly pieces of art — discarded because no one in the home plays them anymore.
Most antique pianos aren't worth much, if anything at all, so lots of people just throw them out or have them hauled to the nearest landfill.
I started recycledpianos.com as a way to rescue as many pianos as we can. Those that can't be repaired are recycled by reclaiming as much of the piano as we can use to create these unique products... and we have lots of ideas for new products already in the works!
